Summer Holidays

Hello classmates and teacher, today i´m going to talk about my next summer holidays, I would like to visit a lot of places but I don’t have much money so I need to choose a place nice, pretty and cheap, I would like to visit Machupichu but I think it´s difficult because I think I don´t save enough money to go.

Other place that I would like to visit is San pedro de Atacama, in the north, that is easier because I have family who lives in Antofagasta so I probably go there. I´m going to be with my family in New Year because my uncle is going to open a restaurant near to Pucón so we are going to celebrate New Year in the new restaurant with all my family.

All years I travel with my friends to a different place, this year we aren´t sure where we are going to travel, so we have to do a meeting to decide where and when, I’m going to propose San Pedro but I don´t want to be in my family house with all my friends so maybe we have to go to other place.

At the summer holidays I would like to play music and soccer, because this year I didn´t have time to play either so I think the vacations are a good opportunity to do those things because next year I think I´m going to have less time.

Jung

Hello classmates, today I’m going to talk about a person who is my favorite expert in the field of psychology, his name is Carl Gustav Jung, and he was one of the founders of the psychoanalysis, he was the intellectual heir to psychoanalysis but with the time Freud and Jung had very different ideas so finally he created a new kind of psychoanalysis denominated analytic psychology.

He wrote a lot of books and papers, including many fields, like psychology, anthropology, physics,  religion, and many others, so is difficult to read because he named many authors of different fields. Some of his most famous books are: "Memories, dreams, reflections", "The red Book", "The archetypes and the collective unconscious" and "Psychology and alchemy".

I like his books because he was one of the first psychiatrists who really talk with the schizophrenics trying to understand his hallucinations and in therapy he says that we have to talk with the patients soul to soul, and he talk about new things like the archetypes who are really amazing. He was very interesting in dreams and the meanings of them, analyzing the symbolism in them.

I would like to do a major in analytic therapy because in the career we don´t have any subjects related with Jung and I would like to know more so the only option is to do a postgraduate but I like to do a lot of things after I finished my career so maybe in four or five years I can have time to study Jung.

Postgraduate studies

Hello classmates, today i´m going to talk about my postgraduate studies, I think is too soon to talk about this because I am only finishing my 4^th year of the career and the next year I have to do a course (diplomado) so it is too much to worry about.

I would like to continue my studies, i´m thinking in do the course in existential humanistic psychotherapy so maybe it could be a good idea to go in the same line and do the master in the same topic because it´s very interesting to me and my future job Is going to be related to the subjects on that course.

I would like to continue my studies in other country, but my English it´s not very good so I don´t fell qualified yet to do that, maybe in a couple of years after finishing my career and major I would like to travel and study but i´m not sure.

I would like to do a part time course, because I think is more helpful and more comfortable, and that way I can have time to do other things to, I don´t want to study all day and night, because I think I will study all my life because we should never stop learning but if we study all day we can´t enjoy the readings and the classes.

my future job

Hello classmates i would like to have a job related with my career (Psychology), maybe in a big house with a nice garden, and with other therapist, i imagine doing therapy in that house trying to make a comfortable place to the people.

I would like to travel a lot, but in vacation, or maybe working as a musician, playing music in the squares, but as a psychologist i don´t see how i could work traveling.

I think a good salary is important when we have a lot of responsibilities so until i want to buy a house or have children, the salary it´s not very necessary, i would like to have a nice work with a normal salary.

I´m thinking to do a major in music therapy because i want to do therapy but the "normal" way to do it, i think it´s not enough and with music maybe would be more funny and beneficial to the people. I would like to do a major in analytic therapy too because i like a lot the ideas of Jung and i want to know more about his work.

I would like to work as a musician to, playing piano in marriages or in small concerts, but it´s difficult to have a regular job, so getting together the music and the psychology I think i can get a good job to me.

Global warming

Hello classmates ! today i´m going to talk about global warming, this is a very important problem who concern to all the people in the world, because the ecosystem of the planet it will collapse in a short time if we don´t do anything.

The global warming refers to the rise of temperature in the last century, and that rise it´s for the human influence, for the emission of carbon dioxide and other gasses. This rise is generating a climate change, where the retreat of glaciers, expansion of desert, ocean acidification and the extinction of different species are the most important problems in this moment.

United states in many countries and to many people it´s the model to follow, and many countries in this moment are following his way of life, without knowing that the earth it´s not going to hold very much if we spend and consume like United States. United States is the clear leader in the emissions of carbon dioxide and it´s not a model to follow.

Our way of live should be in harmony with the nature, and we need to understand that there is only one world, and we should be more careful with it. We should develop more the renewable energies and live with more selfsustainability.

movies

Hello classmates, i´m going to talk about movies, i think that the movies we watch shows to the other people our personality and sometimes the bond between people who watched the same movies is very strong and beautiful.

My favorite director is Quentin Tarantino and I like every kind of movies, but especially science fiction and action movies, I really like those movies with psychological issues or theories, because those movies most of the times leaves and impression.

My favorite film of all time is Pulp fiction, It tells many stories about different characters that would be related as the story moves forward. John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson and Uma Thurman, stars in this film. I like it because is very intense and bizarre, and the actors and actresses develop very good performances. I have seen this movie many times and I would recommend this film to people who like action movies and violence.

Recently I have seen many good movies, but I would like to see again a French science fiction animation movie called “La planète sauvage” , because I don’t understand many parts because the subtitles were in English.

Best concert ever

Hello classmates, how are you? i´m happy because i´m giong to remember my experience in a very exiting day, who was a few years ago, but i still remember like it was yesterday, the Maquinaria festival in 2011.

The concert was in the club hipico in Santiago, and i saw a lot of diferent artists, i remember good 3 of them: Cristal Castles, Alice in chains and one of my favorite bands ever Faith No More. The group Crsital Castles was unknown to me until the show, they play electronic music and the show was in a dome and all the people who were there looks like they were in a trance and me too, it was a really good show. Later me and my friends went to the Alice in Chains show, the show was at the sunset and we enjoy a lot all the songs jumping and screaming the letters who we known, finally in the Faith no more show all the people begin to push and jump, like a big crazy fight, betwen songs the leader of the band (Mike Patton) said some jokes in spanish, he talks very well, he sang in spanish too, and he play almost all the songs that i like of that band.

I really enjoy the festival, in the end of it i can´t find any of my friends and i had to go to my house alone but happy because i saw and listened all my favorite songs.

a country i would like to visit

In the near future i would like to visit Cuba, because is a very special country who have a lot of historical things and a unic way of life, and i think it is not too expensive so i can save money to go there, my parents went there like 4 years ago and they like it very much.

Cuba is a comunist country who is near to the united states, is an island with a lot of nice beaches and cities, and the people in there is very special and friendly.

i would like to visit Cuba and go to the "habana vieja" with all those buildings and monuments, smoking a cuban cigar and then i would like to visit all the white sandy beaches all around the island, and maybe in the nights i´m going to dance salsa in the city with the fantastic dancers who are in there.

i would like to study music in there, maybe because a lot off great musicians like chucho and bebo valdés comes from there, and i would like to play music in the streets at night with all the people dancing in there.
